Arlo & SmartThings enhance home security partnership

Arlo Technologies has announced an expanded partnership with Samsung SmartThings to enhance home security features for users.

The collaboration introduces enhancements to SmartThings' existing offerings by integrating popular functions of Arlo Secure 5. Scheduled for spring release, the update enables two-way audio communication between SmartThings and Arlo devices, along with event snapshots to improve user visibility.

Additional capabilities include AI-powered object detection, leveraging Arlo's computer vision technology to identify people, vehicles, and packages. This feature allows users to customise notifications and automate responses within the SmartThings platform.
