AttackIQ launches Academy Enterprise for cybersecurity training

Yesterday

AttackIQ has announced the introduction of Academy Enterprise, a set of reporting features for AttackIQ Academy that enable security leaders to monitor and evaluate their teams' cybersecurity training progress.

According to the company, Academy Enterprise provides security managers with interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports designed to give an overview of staff training achievements and readiness across various cybersecurity domains.

Keith Wilson, Director of Cybersecurity Education at AttackIQ, explained the rationale behind the launch by stating, "Cybersecurity readiness starts with education and training. But to truly prepare your team, you need visibility into what they've learned and where they're falling behind. Academy Enterprise gives security leaders the insights they need to close skill gaps, focus training where it matters most and build a stronger front line of defense."

Academy Enterprise allows designated managers to monitor both individual and team course completions, review quiz performance, identify areas where team members may be struggling, and pinpoint skill gaps that could benefit from supplemental training. The platform also provides tools to export training data for use in performance reviews and compliance tracking.

Carl Wright, Chief Commercial Officer at AttackIQ, highlighted the reach of the academy platform, saying, "With 70,000+ students in over 192 countries, AttackIQ Academy has become a significant resource for individuals to up-level their cybersecurity skills. Now, cyber security leaders can better manage, understand, and measure employees' learning efforts at the organisational level."

AttackIQ indicated that Academy Enterprise will be available to customers and partners, broadening the company's goal of making cybersecurity education accessible and practice-oriented. The company noted that Academy courses are available at no cost, cover a range of foundational to advanced topics, and are taught by experienced cybersecurity practitioners. Subjects taught include operationalising MITRE ATT&CK, integrating threat and risk management with NIST 800-53, purple teaming, and breach and attack simulation.

AttackIQ Academy also focuses on teaching how organisations can make use of research from the MITRE Center for Threat-informed Defense to operationalise the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Jon Baker, Director of the MITRE Center for Threat-informed Defense, commented on the collaborative effort, stating, "We have created dozens of freely available resources that organisations can use to make their cyber defenses more efficient and effective. Publishing our work is only the beginning. We rely upon our partners and the community to apply our work at scale – that's how we create global impact. AttackIQ Academy training makes our work accessible to thousands of users and translates our research into impact."

The company noted that these new reporting features are designed to assist organisations in identifying knowledge gaps and evaluating the effectiveness of their internal training, enabling managers to make informed decisions on further professional development for their teams.
