BlueVoyant has appointed John Hultman as Chief Revenue Officer to lead its global revenue organisation.
He will oversee sales and revenue operations as the cybersecurity company expands its AI-focused product range and sharpens its market approach.
Hultman joins with more than 30 years of technology sales leadership experience across software, cloud, and security. Most recently, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Druva, where he led global go-to-market strategy.
Before that, he led Americas Sales at Cohesity. He also spent nearly two decades at Dell EMC in senior sales roles across the Americas and the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China region.
The appointment follows what BlueVoyant described as a solid third quarter. During that period, the company introduced a deployment service to help enterprises adopt Microsoft's Integrated Security Operations Centre in Microsoft Defender.
It has also continued to develop BlueVoyant AI, including tools designed to help organisations adopt and govern AI agents securely across their environments.
BlueVoyant supports more than 2,500 customer deployments in Microsoft-native environments worldwide. The company operates across managed detection and response, third-party risk management, and digital risk protection.
John Hernandez, Chief Executive Officer of BlueVoyant, said the hire comes at an important stage in the company's development.
"John joins BlueVoyant at an important moment for the company. We've built a strong foundation, and his experience and perspective will be valuable as we continue to scale the business and deepen our customer relationships," said John Hernandez, Chief Executive Officer of BlueVoyant.
"His focus on execution and customer success aligns closely with where we're headed, and he'll help us meet a market that's demanding exactly what BlueVoyant delivers."
Sales background
Hultman's career has focused on building sales organisations at both large and fast-growing technology companies. His experience spans established infrastructure groups and newer cloud and security providers, giving BlueVoyant a senior executive with experience across multiple stages of company growth.
That background may be relevant as cybersecurity vendors sharpen sales operations while customers consolidate tools and demand clearer outcomes from suppliers. Companies in the sector are also trying to position themselves around artificial intelligence while addressing concerns about risk, governance, and operational complexity.
In his new role, Hultman will work with the leadership team on sales execution and customer relationships. He will help lead the global revenue organisation as the company expands its product portfolio.
Hultman said the broader market is shifting as organisations face growing pressure from a more complex threat environment.
"The cybersecurity landscape has reached an inflection point. Enterprises are dealing with growing complexity, fragmented security tooling, and the need to move beyond detecting threats to taking action, not just inside their own walls but across their suppliers and everywhere their brand lives online," said John Hultman, Chief Revenue Officer of BlueVoyant.
"What drew me to BlueVoyant is its differentiated approach to that challenge, combining BlueVoyant AI with the human expertise to defend organisations inside their environment, across their supply chain, and beyond the perimeter. The opportunity in front of us is significant, and this team is built to capture it."
Product focus
BlueVoyant has been expanding its work around AI and managed security services. Recent activity points to a focus on helping customers manage security operations in Microsoft environments while also addressing risks linked to third parties, digital exposure, and the use of AI agents.
The company says its platform combines automation with human-led security operations. Its business spans internal cyber defence, supply chain risk, and brand protection, areas that have drawn greater attention as organisations face threats across wider supplier networks and online channels.
Hultman's appointment adds a senior sales executive at a time when cybersecurity providers are under pressure to show that newer AI products can translate into customer adoption and sustained revenue growth.
