Gong has appointed Liron Shtraichman as Chief R&D Officer and promoted Guy Havusha to Chief Information Security Officer, adding two former Monday.com executives to its senior leadership team.

Shtraichman joins to lead research and development, while Havusha steps up from Vice President of Platform Security to oversee global security, privacy and compliance. Havusha joined Gong earlier this year after serving as Global CISO at Monday.com.

The appointments come as Gong expands its artificial intelligence work for revenue teams. It says it now serves more than 5,000 customers globally.

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Amit Bendov linked the hires to changes in how businesses are deploying AI in sales operations.

"Enterprises are rebuilding their revenue stacks around AI, and Gong Revenue AI is at the center of that shift. The next phase is about agents that don't just surface insights, but take action and deliver results at enterprise scale," Bendov said. "Liron has scaled a global engineering organization and led a full transition to AI-native development. And with Guy leading security, our customers can put AI agents to work knowing their data is protected to the highest enterprise standards. That's exactly the experience to keep transforming how revenue teams win."

Before joining Gong, Shtraichman led Monday.com's global engineering organisation across platform and product teams, most recently working on its shift to AI-native engineering.

At Gong, he will lead the R&D organisation as the company develops what it describes as agentic products for revenue teams, including Revenue Graph, Revenue Harness and Revenue Operating Surfaces.

Security role

Havusha's promotion puts him in charge of customer data protection, privacy controls and compliance programmes across Gong's operations. His responsibilities also include governance around AI systems and agents used by customers.

Security is becoming more central as AI agents take on more tasks across the revenue cycle, increasing the focus on data access, oversight and auditability in customer-facing software.

In a recent product update, Gong introduced Revenue Harness, which it says allows revenue teams to build and deploy custom agents with scoped data access, audit trails and configurable human oversight. It also launched Gong Activate, described as a new version of its Revenue AI product.

Leadership push

Both executives bring experience from Monday.com, where they held senior roles in engineering and security. Their arrival adds leadership depth in two areas under increasing scrutiny as software companies push more AI tools into commercial workflows.

For software companies selling AI systems to large organisations, security and governance are now as central to the product conversation as product development itself. Gong's decision to elevate a security executive internally while bringing in a senior engineering leader reflects that balance.

Shtraichman outlined his view of the company's market position in a statement on joining.

"Gong is at a rare moment: unmatched insight into how revenue teams win, a platform already putting agents to work for thousands of customers, and leading a major technology transition," Shtraichman said. "The people I met throughout the process made the decision easy. I'm looking forward to learning from our customers and the team that built Gong, and to pushing our leading agentic innovation even further."

The leadership changes follow a period in which Gong has broadened its AI product range for sales and revenue organisations while placing greater emphasis on governance and operational controls around those tools.
