Hack The Box has appointed Konstantinos Dolkas as Chief Technology Officer and promoted Christine Bartlett to Chief Marketing Officer as the cyber training company expands its platform and international operations.

Dolkas will oversee the engineering organisation and technology strategy, including platform architecture, engineering operations, and product delivery. Bartlett, previously Vice President of Marketing, will lead the global marketing organisation across brand, communications, product marketing, demand generation, and go-to-market strategy.

The changes add to a management team overseeing a business with more than 800 enterprise customers and a community of more than 4.3 million security professionals. Hack The Box sells cyber readiness and training products to enterprise, government, and managed security service provider customers.

Its platform focuses on practical training through labs and simulated attack scenarios designed to test offensive and defensive security skills. The appointments are linked to the company's efforts in AI cybersecurity readiness, cyber workforce development, and broader international growth.

Dolkas joins with nearly 20 years of technology leadership experience across cybersecurity, software, mobility, and insurance. Most recently, he was Chief Technology Officer at OWNR Deutschland, where he led engineering and technology strategy.

He also holds a PhD in cloud computing architecture and a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the National Technical University of Athens. In his new role, he is expected to help expand the engineering team as Hack The Box develops its security training platform.

Bartlett's promotion follows her arrival at the company in 2025 as Vice President of Marketing. She has helped raise Hack The Box's international profile and sharpen its market positioning.

Before joining the company, Bartlett was Chief Marketing Officer at SonicWall and held senior marketing roles at Cisco. She has also received industry recognition, including being named a CRN Women of the Channel honoree and being included in the 2026 HotTopics Future B2B CMO 100.

Haris Pylarinos, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hack The Box, linked the appointments to shifts in the wider security market.

"As the threat landscape evolves alongside rapid advancements in AI, organizations recognize that true cyber resilience depends on continuous, hands-on workforce capability," said Pylarinos.

"Konstantinos brings technical experience building and scaling world-class engineering organizations, while Christine has played a critical role in expanding our global brand and strengthening how we connect with customers around the world. Their leadership will be vital as we advance our platform to prepare the global cybersecurity workforce for the most complex security challenges."

Growth focus

The company's emphasis on training reflects broader demand from employers and public sector organisations looking to improve cyber skills as AI tools reshape both defence and attack methods. Across the sector, workforce readiness is increasingly being treated as a priority alongside spending on software and managed services.

Hack The Box has built its business around that trend, offering scenario-based exercises to security teams and individuals. Its customer base spans large companies, government bodies, and managed security providers, placing it in a competitive market for cyber training and simulation platforms.

Bartlett also tied the company's direction to changes in the threat environment.

"The speed of innovation and the rise of AI-driven attacks demand security teams that can respond with confidence," said Bartlett.

"At Hack The Box, we are focused on helping organizations build cyber readiness through practical, hands-on learning. I look forward to working with our customers and partners worldwide to scale our impact and build the AI-ready security workforce of the future."
