HPE unveils AI-enhancing data layer in NVIDIA partnership

Today

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a new unified data layer designed to enhance AI capabilities and enterprise data storage, alongside a deeper collaboration with NVIDIA.

The introduction of this technology aims to grant enterprises faster insights through seamless data management spanning multi-vendor and multicloud environments via HPE's GreenLake cloud service.

"To thrive in the agentic AI era, data management must undergo a fundamental shift. With our unified data layer, intelligent storage, and HPE Private Cloud AI, enterprises can run AI at scale—wherever their data lives," stated Fidelma Russo, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Hybrid Cloud and Chief Technology Officer at HPE.

"Our approach for harnessing highly distributed, hybrid data in collaboration with NVIDIA gives organisations a competitive edge, while accelerating time to value."

The collaboration sees NVIDIA and HPE working together to transform AI data pipelines to expedite business insights. Utilising NVIDIA's AI Data Platform in conjunction with HPE technology, enterprise systems can now more effectively leverage high-performance data infrastructures, feeding AI applications and models efficiently with AI-ready data.

Justin Boitano, Vice President of Enterprise Software at NVIDIA, remarked, "NVIDIA and HPE are working together to pave the way for AI agents to connect to business knowledge through high-performance intelligent data infrastructure."

"The AI data platforms we're building together will enable enterprises to leverage their data during inference to power AI reasoning that delivers insights and drives action."

The advancement of such streamlined processing capabilities is expected to significantly alter the fragmented landscape currently inhibiting AI-driven insights due to the distributed nature of enterprise data. These developments will support the increasing data demands driven by the growth of agentic and physical AI from edge to cloud.

The new offerings include enhancements to HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 and X10000, providing advanced ransomware detection, recovery, and diversified storage capabilities.

Furthermore, the company is expanding its portfolio with the HPE Private Cloud AI service integrated with NVIDIA's AI Data Platform to accelerate AI-driven transformations in businesses.

"The VodafoneZiggo vision is to transform into an autonomous network driven by data and AI, with a Network Data Hub (NDH) for Assurance Data," expressed Jannie Minnema, Head of Operational Support Systems Assurance and Tools at VodafoneZiggo.

"The HPE Data Fabric is the foundation of our NDH, enabling our journey towards secure and seamless connectivity. HPE Data Fabric supports us to deliver data-as-a-service with data unification, governance, intelligence, orchestration, and transformation."

HPE's new solutions will also support AI training, tuning, and inference with a focus on improved performance, security, and power efficiency. Antonio Neri, President and CEO at HPE commented, "AI is delivering significant opportunity for enterprises, and requires a portfolio of streamlined and integrated solutions to support widespread adoption."

"To fully harness the power of AI, HPE and NVIDIA bring to market a comprehensive portfolio of AI solutions that accelerate the time to value for enterprises to enhance productivity and generate new revenue streams."

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's continuing partnership with NVIDIA highlights significant advancements in AI technology, promising enhancement in AI reasoning and intelligence across various industries. Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO at NVIDIA added, "AI is transforming every industry, and enterprises are racing to build AI factories to produce intelligence."

"NVIDIA and HPE are delivering the full-stack infrastructure companies need to develop, train, and deploy AI at scale—from generative and agentic AI to robotics and digital twins."

"This collaboration accelerates the AI-driven transformation of business and unlocks new levels of productivity and innovation."

This announcement illustrates the strategic efforts being undertaken by the companies to provide robust, enterprise-ready AI solutions.
