ITS America expo in Detroit to showcase cyber security
ITS America Conference & Expo 2026 will feature nearly 200 exhibitors and sponsors in Detroit, including a new Cybersecurity & Data Zone.
The exhibition will bring together transport technology suppliers and public sector agencies. Companies including Cubic Transportation Systems, Miovision and Beep are set to demonstrate systems aimed at traffic management, intersection safety and autonomous mobility. Exhibits will focus on tools such as real-time data collection, AI-based detection and adaptive signal control.
Organised by RX Global in partnership with ITS America, the event is aimed at transport professionals from the public and private sectors. It centres on the use of digital systems in road networks as agencies face pressure to improve safety, cut congestion and manage increasingly complex traffic conditions.
Traffic Systems
Cubic Transportation Systems plans to present its Intelligent Transportation Systems portfolio, including products designed to work with live intersection data and traffic network operations. Its offering combines detection, adaptive signal control and signal performance measures for transport agencies.
"At ITS America Conference & Expo, visitors will see Cubic's integrated Intelligent Transportation Systems portfolio in action, designed to transform real-time intersection data into smarter, safer, and more responsive traffic networks," said John Greiner, Vice President and General Manager, Cubic ITS. "Our suite of traffic management solutions combine AI-powered detection, adaptive signal control, and signal performance measures to empower agencies to cut through the noise, respond dynamically, and make confident, data-driven decisions that improve safety and efficiency in their communities."
Miovision is due to focus on signal health monitoring, traffic performance measures and what it describes as a GenAI Traffic Agent. Its systems are intended to help cities manage intersections used by vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, public transport and freight.
"Traditional signal timing approaches can't keep pace with the complexity of today's intersections," said Kurtis McBride, Chief Executive Officer, Miovision. "At ITS America Conference & Expo, Miovision is demonstrating how cities can transform massive amounts of traffic data into real-world safety and mobility improvements by introducing the industry's first GenAI Agent for traffic management, enabling agencies to move from analysing problems to deploying Intelligent Mobility solutions faster than ever before."
Autonomous Focus
Beep will present its AutonomOS Service Management platform, built to support autonomous vehicle operations in mixed-traffic environments. The platform combines vehicle telemetry, smart city infrastructure data and in-cabin AI to provide oversight of fleet operations and service management.
"As agencies work to safely integrate autonomous mobility into their transportation networks, Beep's AutonomOS software platform delivers the real-time intelligence, observability, and AI-driven oversight needed to deploy and manage these services with confidence," said Toby McGraw, Chief Revenue Officer, Beep. "By unifying vehicle, infrastructure, and in-cabin data, we're helping operators improve safety, reduce congestion, and deliver higher quality mobility services that can scale alongside the communities they serve."
A separate section of the exhibition will focus on cybersecurity and data protection in connected transport systems. The Cybersecurity & Data Zone will highlight products designed to protect connected vehicles and smart infrastructure as road networks become more digital and automated.
The emphasis on cyber security reflects a broader shift in transport technology, as roadside systems, vehicles and control centres exchange growing volumes of data. That has increased the need to protect operational systems as cities add more connected devices to traffic networks.
The wider exhibition and education programme will cover automated traffic signal performance measures, emergency vehicle pre-emption systems, connected vehicle integration and autonomous mobility systems. The event is intended to bring together transport officials, suppliers and technology developers through demonstrations and networking.
Laura Chace, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITS America, said the exhibitors reflect a changing market for transport agencies. "These exhibitors are delivering solutions that help agencies identify safety risks earlier, respond faster to incidents, and make confident, data-driven decisions that protect all road users," said Chace. "The intersection of AI technology and transportation safety represents a fundamental shift in how we manage traffic networks, and this event showcases the practical applications that are transforming communities nationwide."
