Nasuni & CrowdStrike partner for enhanced threat detection
Nasuni and CrowdStrike have announced a partnership to deliver improved threat detection and data recovery capabilities for enterprises. The partnership facilitates the integration of Nasuni's File Data Platform with CrowdStrike's Falcon Next-Gen Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, now available on the CrowdStrike Marketplace.
The integration aims to provide enterprises with a comprehensive platform for the ingestion, processing, and management of Syslog messages, enhancing their capabilities to perform seamless search, reporting, and alert actions. This will enable benefits like real-time ransomware detection, improved threat visibility across enterprises, and accelerated data recovery processes.
Data from Nasuni's 2024 report, "The Era of Hybrid Cloud Storage," indicates that 59% of organisations view cloud initiatives as critical for improved security and disaster recovery speed. Data recovery is often prioritised during ransomware attacks. Hybrid cloud solutions, such as the Nasuni File Data Platform, are designed to ensure rapid file recovery and incorporate built-in ransomware detection to mitigate cyberattack impact. Customers can receive detailed alerts through integration with the CrowdStrike Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and rapidly address organisational threats.
David Grant, President at Nasuni, said, "Recent data predicts that ransomware will cost its victims around USD $265 billion annually by 2031. Beyond ransom payments, the resulting downtime and recovery efforts can harm businesses. Nasuni is committed to helping organisations strengthen ransomware protection and accelerate file recovery, keeping data secure throughout its lifecycle."
"Our new integration with CrowdStrike brings these capabilities to the next level, providing customers with a unified solution to detect and take action against any threats immediately."
The Falcon Next-Gen SIEM facilitates ingesting data from various security or IT sources, combining it with data from the native Falcon platform, threat intelligence, and AI-driven automation to combat breaches. By merging Nasuni's capabilities with the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, organisations gain a unified platform for processing syslog messages. This allows for enhanced search, detailed reporting, and the execution of alert actions.
The integration offers several capabilities: real-time ransomware threat detection using Nasuni's edge detection to alert security teams for action within Falcon Next-Gen SIEM; enterprise-wide threat visibility by providing syslog data and alerts for recovery and monitoring; and rapid data recovery enabling swift and targeted file restoration.
In addition, the integration aims to streamline data onboarding and workflow processes, facilitating quicker deployment through simplified Nasuni data onboarding and automated response actions that interact with third parties. It combines unified Security Operations Centre (SOC) data and workflows, enhancing security operations' efficiency and improving outcomes.
