ORO Labs unveils new AI tools for secure procurement workflows
ORO Labs has announced the release of new agentic AI capabilities, giving procurement teams enhanced control over automation in their sourcing and compliance operations. The update includes a no-code AI Agent Builder and a suite of pre-built agents targeting high-risk, labour-intensive workflows.
"At ORO, we believe the future of procurement isn't just about adding AI - it's about orchestrating a symphony of human and machine intelligence," said Sudhir Bhojwani, Co-Founder and CEO of ORO Labs.
The release aims to address growing pressure on procurement departments to operate with more speed, agility, and reduced manual intervention. The new AI Agent Builder enables procurement professionals to design and deploy customised automation agents without writing code, using a drag-and-drop interface.
"While others are just starting to explore AI agents, we're delivering a comprehensive, production-ready solution that securely connects data, systems, human decision-makers, and AI agents to unlock unprecedented levels of automation and collaboration," Bhojwani added.
Alongside the Agent Builder, ORO Labs has introduced a tranche of pre-built agents specifically designed to manage compliance and risk.
These include agents for risk reviews, fraud detection, global tax compliance, sustainability compliance, anti-bribery measures, and legal assessments. A new intake management agent has also been launched, which recommends opportunities for autonomous negotiation.
These additions build on ORO's existing agent portfolio, which already covers intake management, supplier maintenance, and knowledge retrieval. With this broader suite, the platform now supports the entire source-to-pay process.
The company emphasised that the latest capabilities go beyond traditional AI assistants. ORO Labs' agentic AI is embedded directly into its orchestration platform, enabling the automation of complex procurement tasks such as supplier onboarding, risk triage, fraud detection, and compliance monitoring.
"ORO is a true AI innovation partner helping us work toward our vision of a zero-bureaucracy experience," said Thomas Udesen, Chief Procurement Officer at Bayer.
Another core feature of ORO's AI approach is its ability to access proprietary enterprise data securely. The AI agents can connect to ERP, source-to-pay systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, risk management frameworks, and HR platforms. This ensures that decisions made by the agents are informed and traceable, while preserving data security.
The platform also supports seamless collaboration between AI and human users. Agents autonomously escalate decisions when needed and provide contextual insights, which the company claims leads to quicker and more confident actions.
Transparency and auditability have been a key design focus. ORO Labs' escalation management tools give enterprises the ability to oversee AI decision-making, helping maintain compliance and accountability.
According to the company, global firms such as Danone Group, Gilead Sciences, Millennium Management, Booking.com, Liberty Global, and Roche are already using these AI capabilities. In reported use cases like contract compliance checks and risk reviews, companies have seen process times reduced and legal involvement cut by up to 50%.
The new features are available immediately. ORO Labs will showcase them at the upcoming DPW Conference in New York, where a live demonstration of the AI Agent Builder is planned.
ORO Labs positions itself as a procurement orchestration provider focused on reducing complexity and improving user experience. Its platform is designed to coordinate teams, systems, and workflows to meet enterprise procurement needs while enhancing agility and visibility.
