Ridge Security brings AI penetration testing to Azure cloud

Sat, 22nd Nov 2025

Ridge Security has made its AI-powered penetration testing platform, RidgeBot, available for deployment through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

The listing allows Azure customers to integrate RidgeBot's autonomous risk discovery, exploitation, and remediation capabilities through a streamlined cloud deployment model. By making its platform available through Azure's global marketplace, Ridge Security aims to remove friction from penetration testing workflows and help organisations align more closely with continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) practices.

Automated penetration

The RidgeBot platform leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to automate penetration testing processes that have traditionally relied on manual assessments. It conducts ongoing security checks, seeking vulnerabilities and actively exploiting them to determine which weaknesses present a genuine risk.

The company says reports generated by the tool align with the OWASP and MITRE frameworks, supporting DevOps and security teams seeking to address cyber risks efficiently.

RidgeBot is designed to function continuously, moving away from the periodic testing common in legacy approaches. The tool provides actionable outcomes by distinguishing between theoretical and actual threats, reducing exposure and enabling organisations to validate risk at scale.

Cloud integration

The platform's deployment via Azure Marketplace offers several options. Customers can install RidgeBot as a managed application with a subscription billed through Azure. This option covers security validation for either a single web application or up to twenty Internet Protocols (IPs). For teams seeking customised setups, RidgeBot can be deployed as a virtual machine, with licenses acquired directly from Ridge Security.

Alternatively, integration with Microsoft Sentinel is also available. This allows users to manage RidgeBot deployments across both on-premise and cloud environments, providing a central location for unified security alerts and analytics.

Security alignment

The RidgeBot platform supports modern security operations, including Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) and DevSecOps practices. Its AI-driven automation aims to enhance an organisation's cyber resilience and reduce the risks associated with infrequent manual testing.

By tapping into Azure's global infrastructure, organisations can unify penetration testing and ongoing security validation within a single cloud environment. This can assist in streamlining compliance for enterprise and partner organisations operating within hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Direct approach

"At Ridge Security, we believe the best defence is to think like a hacker," said Lydia Zhang, President and Co-Founder of Ridge Security. "RidgeBot on Microsoft Azure Marketplace extends that philosophy by enabling organisations to continuously validate their security posture through autonomous, AI-driven testing. This approach helps customers and partners strengthen defences, align with CTEM goals, and act on data-backed evidence of risk."

The company says the approach is intended to benefit a range of organisations, including those in finance, government, telecoms and large enterprise sectors.

Ridge Security currently operates globally across North and South America, Europe, and Asia, with a network of over 700 partners.
