WatchGuard & HaloPSA integrate security tools for MSPs

Tue, 14th Apr 2026

WatchGuard and Halo have partnered to integrate WatchGuard Cloud with HaloPSA for managed service providers.

The integration brings WatchGuard's security operations tools into HaloPSA, the professional services automation software MSPs use to manage service desks, contracts and billing.

Technicians can view security events, device information and licence data within the PSA interface instead of switching between systems. The companies say this should simplify ticketing, provisioning and recurring billing workflows.

Workflow automation

Security events and licence signals can trigger automated ticket creation, while asset and entitlement data can help align contracts and improve billing accuracy. WatchGuard cited Service Desk Institute research showing that automation can reduce ticket volumes by 30% on average.

The move reflects the growing importance of software integrations in MSP purchasing decisions. PSA platforms have become a central operating layer for service providers, connecting support requests, customer records, contracts and invoicing.

Operational role

For security vendors, closer integration with those systems can make their products easier to manage in the daily workflow of technicians and account teams. For MSPs, the benefit is less manual work and fewer discrepancies between service delivery, customer records and invoices.

Through the HaloPSA link, MSPs can manage WatchGuard security operations through a single agent within the PSA. WatchGuard Cloud combines network, identity, endpoint and managed detection and response tools.

According to the companies, technicians can work with relevant device, licence and event context in the same place they already handle operational tasks. This is intended to reduce reliance on separate tools and make service delivery more consistent across customer accounts.

Vendor view

"MSPs need security operations that fit the way they work, inside the PSA, with accurate context and minimal manual effort," said Ben Oster, Vice President of Product Development, WatchGuard.

"Our relationship with Halo means MSPs move faster and offer stronger security with WatchGuard embedded inside the PSA they love," added Oster.

Halo said the deal expands the security services its users can offer. The Suffolk-based company supports customers in more than 75 countries.

"Halo MSPs now have a more powerful way to capture the cybersecurity opportunity with access to WatchGuard's full-stack platform," said Alex Golden, Head of Product, HaloPSA.

"Together, Halo and WatchGuard make it easier for MSPs to broaden their security services and scale with less operational complexity," added Golden.

Market pressure

The partnership comes as MSPs face pressure to deliver more security work without adding proportional cost and complexity. Rising customer demand for cyber protection has increased the operational burden on service providers, especially those managing multiple vendors, licensing models and support processes.

That pressure has made PSA integration a more important factor in procurement decisions. Service providers increasingly want operational data, alerts and commercial records to connect cleanly so support, compliance and billing can be managed through the same system.

"MSPs face growing pressure to deliver security efficiently while managing operational complexity," said Paul Stringfellow, Chief Technology Officer, Gardner Systems, and a GigaOm analyst.

"Integration with PSA platforms like HaloPSA is essential for the modern MSP to reduce manual effort, accelerate response times, and scale more effectively. As an MSP, when we evaluate vendors, their PSA integration capabilities are a primary consideration," added Stringfellow.

WatchGuard works with more than 25,000 MSPs serving over 1.5 million customers worldwide, highlighting the scale of the market it is targeting through tighter workflow integration.
