Brivo unveils cloud-based platform to simplify security
Brivo has introduced the Brivo Security Suite, a cloud-based platform aimed at simplifying enterprise security management.
Brivo Security Suite integrates various security systems such as access control, video intelligence, visitor management, and intrusion detection into a single platform. This centralisation is designed to streamline risk management, providing a unified user interface, consolidated incident management, and a shared identity framework for all linked applications.
Enterprises currently face a range of intricate physical and cybersecurity threats. There is a growing expectation for security solutions to not only address these threats but also enhance operational systems that influence efficiency, profitability, and tenant experience. Meeting compliance requirements has become increasingly challenging for enterprises due to the rising number of information systems in use.
The Brivo Security Suite confronts these challenges by offering pre-built integrations with numerous vertical software stacks, capable of scaling across thousands of enterprise sites. This integration allows for improved threat response, operational system performance, and compliance assurance.
"Software platform consolidation is one of the highest return investments that enterprises can make in their information systems infrastructure, and that's why we built Brivo Security Suite," said Steve Van Till, Founder and CEO of Brivo. "It unifies security applications, credentials, data collection, and analytics, giving customers a much more powerful tool for managing assets across wide geographies."
The new system provides five main advantages: unified security, scalability, integration of IT and operational technology (OT), compliance and cybersecurity, and data analysis.
The unified security feature offers a single overview of all security applications along with a consolidated event history to enhance incident management. The scalability aspect allows security to be managed seamlessly across small or vast numbers of buildings through cloud-based services.
The platform's ability to integrate with existing IT and OT systems via API aims to support deep automation and align security operations with business objectives. The compliance and cybersecurity component builds upon Brivo's core platform certifications - SOC2 and ISO27001 - bolstered by over 15 years of independent audits in information security.
The data analysis function offers real-time alerts, anomaly detection, and key insights intended to improve situational awareness, risk mitigation, and efficiency.
Scott Foley, Senior Analyst, Physical Security at Omdia commented, "Omdia views this type of convergence as one of the fastest growing areas in security. Customer demand and confidence in unified solutions continues to rise; fueled by changing needs for data utility, investments into hybrid and cloud infrastructure, and emphasis on flexible scalable systems."
Currently, Brivo's existing cloud-based platform is utilised by customers to manage security across thousands of locations through a global dashboard. The Brivo Security Suite enhances this functionality by unifying security technologies, applications, and data under a single management interface.
Brivo's new product, the Brivo Security Suite, will be showcased at events such as ISC West in Las Vegas and The Security Event in Birmingham. At these venues, security professionals are invited to participate in demonstrations illustrating how the solution can transform security from an operational expense to a strategic business asset.
