Extreme Networks appoints Anisha Vaswani as new CICO

Extreme Networks has announced the appointment of Anisha Vaswani to the newly created role of Chief Information and Customer Officer (CICO).

In this position, Vaswani will be responsible for crafting and executing Extreme Networks' comprehensive IT strategy to ensure alignment with the company's business objectives and growth targets. Part of her role will include fostering internal innovation and enhancing customer success, employing the strategy of acting as "Extreme's Customer ONE." This approach involves testing and validating new products and solutions internally prior to deployment with customers, aiming to establish a high standard of industry excellence.

Vaswani will also oversee customer success initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with clients to facilitate successful technology transitions and deliver significant added value, with a focus on promoting long-term customer loyalty and retention.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Extreme Networks, Ed Meyercord, expressed confidence in Vaswani's ability to drive the company's objectives. Anisha is the perfect candidate to ensure that every innovation enhances the customer journey. Anisha Vaswani has an extensive background in information technology leadership, having served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for notable companies including IDG, Box, Toast, and Shockwave Medical. During her tenure at Shockwave Medical, Vaswani contributed to operational scaling and the achievement of USD $1 billion in annual revenue. At Toast, she played a significant role in guiding the company through its initial public offering and in expanding its revenue from USD $1 billion to over USD $3 billion annually. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from San Jose State University.
