Cynet appoints Meghan AuBuchon as chief marketing officer

Yesterday

Cynet has announced the appointment of Meghan AuBuchon as Chief Marketing Officer.

Meghan AuBuchon will take on responsibility for leading Cynet's global marketing strategy, brand positioning, and demand generation initiatives. This appointment is part of a wider leadership revamp at the company, which includes recent changes such as the appointment of Jason Magee as CEO and the addition of Karen Ward and Jeannine Edwards to the leadership team. The company aims to emphasise channel partnerships as a key strategy for future growth.

AuBuchon brings nearly two decades of experience in the technology sector, particularly in cybersecurity. Prior to this role, she was Vice President of Global Demand Generation at Arctic Wolf, where she played a key role in increasing company revenue from USD $20 million to over USD $540 million. Her expertise lies in scaling teams, defining brand priorities, executing data-driven strategies, and accelerating growth.

"Based on Meghan's deep understanding of cybersecurity audiences and the vendor landscape, Cynet's executive team is stronger than ever," stated Jason Magee, CEO of Cynet. "She combines strategic vision and bold storytelling to drive results. I am thrilled to introduce Meghan as a leader to boost our brand and drive demand. Meghan's visionary leadership will be an asset as Cynet continues to challenge the cybersecurity status quo, expand partnerships and foster a culture of innovation."

Her arrival at Cynet coincides with the company having doubled its net new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in 2024, surpassing all set growth targets. As Chief Marketing Officer, AuBuchon will oversee Cynet's comprehensive marketing efforts on a global scale, including brand messaging, go-to-market strategies, demand generation, and beyond, aimed at supporting global product, customer, and partner marketing teams.

Commenting on her new role, AuBuchon expressed enthusiasm: "I am excited to join Cynet at such a transformative time. The value Cynet's All-in-One Cybersecurity Platform provides for partners and end users, combined with 24/7 SOC support, stands out as cyberattacks increase in volume and sophistication. The stage is set to further demonstrate the advantages that differentiate Cynet as the premier cybersecurity solution for channel partners. I look forward to working with the capable team at Cynet to drive market awareness, build strong customer relationships, and accelerate the company's next phase of growth."

AuBuchon plans to enhance marketing support for existing Cynet partners, with a focus on partner and customer acquisition strategy. "The All-in-One Cybersecurity Platform provides unparalleled value for partners in the channel, and I am excited to maximize that positive impact by demonstrating compelling new opportunities for Cynet partners to accelerate their business growth, protect customers, and maximize efficiency," she added.

Her appointment follows recent accomplishments by Cynet, including being the sole cybersecurity vendor to achieve 100% Protection and 100% Detection Visibility in the 2024 MITRE ATT&CK Evaluation. The All-in-One Cybersecurity Platform offers a 426% Return on Investment (ROI) according to a Forrester study. With increased demand for cost-effective protection from managed service providers and small-to-medium enterprises as cyber threats rise, AuBuchon's leadership is expected to be instrumental in advancing Cynet's market reach and impact.
