Bitdefender expands cybersecurity partnership with Ferrari F1 team

Tue, 21st Oct 2025

Bitdefender has renewed and expanded its multi-year partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP, maintaining its position as Ferrari's exclusive worldwide partner in the cybersecurity category.

The extended collaboration aims to deepen the technological integration between the two companies and will see Bitdefender's brand gain greater visibility within Formula 1, including increased placement on Ferrari's racing cars and key safety elements.

Commitment to relationships

The partnership extension reflects the ongoing importance of cybersecurity in the Formula 1 environment, where digital resilience is increasingly critical to operational excellence. The collaboration is expected to support Ferrari's technology operations, reinforcing protection for the team's data and infrastructure throughout the racing calendar.

"We are pleased to extend our partnership with Bitdefender, a company that shares Ferrari's values of innovation, excellence and reliability. In a sport where every detail counts, trust is fundamental - and having a partner like Bitdefender by our side allows us to focus fully on our racing activities, knowing that our technology and data are protected by one of the leaders in cybersecurity," said Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Racing Revenue Officer at Ferrari.

This partnership affirms a shared emphasis on trust and reliability, especially in an increasingly connected motorsport landscape that demands robust digital defences alongside mechanical performance.

Expanded integration

With advances in the sport's use of hybrid systems and connected operational technologies, Ferrari has highlighted the strategic relevance of its cybersecurity infrastructure. The updated partnership will see Bitdefender integrate its solutions more fully with Ferrari's digital architecture, providing support across detection, prevention, and incident response.

"As our cars and operations in Ferrari become even more connected, cybersecurity is not just a technical necessity, but a foundation for innovation and performance. We are happy to continue working with a trusted partner like Bitdefender to ensure that our digital infrastructure is as resilient and high-performing as we need our cars to be on and off track. Together, we're building a secure environment that enables us to push boundaries with confidence," said Alfonso Fuggetta, Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Ferrari.

The increased technological integration follows previous collaboration, which began with Bitdefender's appointment as a Team Partner in September 2022. Subsequently, the partnership expanded to provide targeted support to Ferrari's security operations, focusing on efficiently validating and triaging cybersecurity alerts, as well as supporting threat hunting and faster incident response processes.

Visibility and engagement

Alongside the technological aspects, the agreement broadens Bitdefender's brand presence within the Formula 1 setting. Ferrari F1 cars will now feature more prominent Bitdefender branding, which is targeted for both increased visibility for spectators and stakeholders and symbolic alignment with the team's focus on safety and performance.

"In Formula 1 as in cybersecurity, success is driven by speed, precision, and innovation - and powered by trust," said Florin Talpeș, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bitdefender. "We are pleased to continue our partnership with Ferrari, uniting two global players focused on excellence. Cybersecurity now touches every part of modern life, and Bitdefender remains dedicated to its mission of delivering trusted protection that helps individuals and businesses stay secure as they navigate a rapidly changing digital world."

Ongoing collaboration

According to the companies, Bitdefender's ongoing support will provide Ferrari with advanced tools to maintain its digital defences, reflecting broader trends in motorsport towards greater involvement of cybersecurity solutions providers as operational partners. The collaboration will continue to focus on areas including threat prevention, detection, and swift response, with the shared objective of enabling Ferrari's team to operate confidently in both physical and digital environments.

The strengthening of this relationship comes at a time when Formula 1's digital and data-driven approaches to competition and engineering are expanding, necessitating advanced measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure business continuity in a fast-paced global sport.
