LogicMonitor’s LM Envision gains FedRAMP Moderate ATO for agencies

Tue, 29th Jul 2025

LogicMonitor has announced that its LM Envision platform has been granted FedRAMP Moderate Authorisation to Operate (ATO), confirming its compliance with federal security and risk management standards.

Security standards

The FedRAMP Moderate ATO status means LM Envision is authorised for use by U.S. government agencies, meeting the security requirements necessary to handle sensitive, unclassified government data. The authorisation allows federal agencies to utilise LogicMonitor's AI-powered hybrid observability platform for their cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

The FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) authorisation process is designed to standardise security assessment, authorisation, and monitoring for cloud products and services used by U.S. government agencies. Achieving this designation involves a comprehensive evaluation of security controls and continuous monitoring efforts to safeguard government information.

Supporting federal operations

Nitin Navare, Chief Technology Officer at LogicMonitor, commented on the achievement, stating:

"Achieving a full FedRAMP Moderate Authorisation reinforces LogicMonitor's dedication to protecting government data while enabling operational excellence across their complex hybrid infrastructures. With LM Envision, federal agencies now have access to a secure, scalable platform that empowers them to modernise IT operations, reduce risk, and respond proactively to today's growing infrastructure demands."

LM Envision offers agencies unified observability across multiple environments, including integration with AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure Government. The platform's AI-driven analytics are intended to help agencies predict and prevent service disruptions, supporting the reliability of public services and mission delivery.

LM Envision is also built to assist agencies with streamlining compliance with established frameworks, such as FedRAMP itself, the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The platform's consolidation of monitoring tools enables IT teams to manage infrastructure more efficiently.

Addressing cyber threats

Government IT environments continue to grow in complexity as agencies supplement legacy systems with hybrid and cloud deployments. These advancements expose organisations to new cybersecurity challenges. LogicMonitor's newly authorised platform aims to help federal agencies secure critical operations and maintain compliance requirements while continuing to modernise their technology infrastructure.

The platform enables agencies to:

  • Gain unified visibility into multi-cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures
  • Leverage AI-driven insights for early detection of potential service disruptions
  • Simplify efforts to meet security and compliance mandates
  • Consolidate and streamline use of legacy monitoring tools

Commitment to public sector

LogicMonitor has stated that this FedRAMP Moderate ATO achievement marks a significant step in its continued support for U.S. federal agencies. The company has indicated its intention to keep investing in technology that maintains security and compliance standards, while offering operational tools to support federal missions.

The move is expected to help agencies focus on mission delivery by improving operational visibility and predictability, allowing IT teams and business departments to allocate more resources to service and performance improvements, rather than troubleshooting and system management.

LM Envision's authorisation expands LogicMonitor's presence in the public sector technology market, adding to a roster of platforms approved for sensitive governmental workloads within the regulatory requirements of FedRAMP.
