Omada named leader & innovator in QKS Group IGA report

Sat, 22nd Nov 2025

Omada has been recognised as both a Leader and an Emerging Innovator in the latest SPARK Matrix for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) from QKS Group. The assessment evaluated IGA vendors on technology capabilities and customer impact, citing advancements in Omada's platform and its approach to identity lifecycle management.

Dual recognition

QKS Group's SPARK Matrix noted Omada's performance in areas such as governance, access control, and security analytics. The report identified particular strengths in Omada's handling of cloud and hybrid environments, pointing to hybrid flexibility and a process-oriented implementation strategy.

The Omada platform is used to manage user access, automate lifecycle management, and support regulatory compliance across different IT environments. Its feature set includes access request workflows, role-based access controls, and analytics dashboards intended to identify and mitigate security risks.

Platform capabilities

Key capabilities highlighted by QKS Group include Omada's Cloud Application Gateway, which facilitates secure, outbound connectivity from on-premises systems to the Omada Identity Cloud. The gateway supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) functionality, enhancing compliance measures and helping to reduce risk exposure.

Another feature, a conversational artificial intelligence assistant named Javi, conducts IGA tasks by interpreting natural language requests. These tasks include initiating access requests, approvals, certifications, and generating compliance reports.

Architecture approach

Omada Identity Cloud operates on a cloud-native, microservices architecture. Its event-driven design enables near real-time processing of incremental identity updates, reducing the risk of privilege drift. This mechanism helps enforce governance measures more quickly than systems relying solely on periodic batch processing.

The company's reconciliation and delta-calculation model allows for continuous comparison between actual and desired identity states. This real-time analysis updates compliance dashboards and performance indicators, immediately flagging issues like orphaned accounts, unauthorised entitlements, and access violations.

AI and analytics

Omada incorporates machine learning and artificial intelligence-assisted analysis to streamline role modelling. Its recommendation engine uses existing data and patterns in entitlements to suggest role structures and automate maintenance, reducing the manual workload for administrators.

Industry context

"Given the rise of AI in an enterprise setting, IGA is becoming more crucial than ever to reduce the attack surface created by ungoverned, non-human identities," said Michael Garrett, CEO, Omada. "This acknowledgment reflects our commitment to helping customers simplify and secure identity governance in an era where human and non-human identities are both critical to enterprise resilience."
