QuSecure names Jennifer Leggio to lead marketing amid quantum surge
QuSecure has announced the appointment of Jennifer Leggio as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Revenue Operations, as demand rises for technology to support post-quantum cryptography.
Leggio brings over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity marketing and business operations. In her new post, she will lead global marketing strategy, communications, demand generation, and revenue operations for QuSecure, which specialises in cryptographic agility and quantum-safe solutions.
Addressing her career move, Leggio said, "I've spent over two decades in cybersecurity supporting wildly innovative companies yet all of them were chasing the adversaries after threats had run rampant. I joined QuSecure because it is the clear leader in this space and this is a once in a career opportunity to help organizations solve an issue before it becomes crippling; to help them understand that they need immediate detection of policy violations such as expired certificates, unauthorized certificate authorities, weak encryption protocols, or non-compliant cryptographic implementations across enterprise environments now - while bad actors are preparing with 'harvest now, decrypt later' motions. It is my mission to educate as many people as possible about this need and grow QuSecure along with it."
The company has reported a fourfold increase in demand for its platform, marking what executives describe as a pivotal time for organisations seeking to update their cybersecurity infrastructures ahead of the anticipated impact of quantum computing advances on data protection.
In addition to Leggio's appointment, QuSecure has recently welcomed Gregory Donovan as Vice President of Revenue, responsible for worldwide sales across both private and public sectors. These hires, according to the company, occur at a critical juncture, with recent policy developments urging greater adoption of quantum-ready technologies, particularly among government agencies.
The urgency for migration to post-quantum cryptography has increased with the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) having published standards and triggering mandates for government agencies and their vendors to begin migrating to quantum-safe solutions soon. National security vendors face deadlines as soon as early January. However, experts point out that organisations must first identify cryptographic assets that may be at risk and prioritise their remediation processes.
"Jennifer first joined QuSecure as a fractional leader and immediately recognized the unique position we hold in PQC and crypto agility. Her track record in building bold, ethical, high-growth marketing programs and scaling high-performance teams aligns perfectly with our mission and our culture. We're honored to have her join full-time to help us lead the industry into a more quantum-safe future," said Rebecca Krauthamer, CEO and Co-Founder of QuSecure.
Leggio's career includes leadership roles at Flashpoint, Claroty, Fortinet, and Sourcefire (Cisco). She is widely recognised in the cybersecurity community for promoting ethical approaches, authenticity, and transparency within the industry. Her efforts to champion trust over fear-based marketing tactics have been acknowledged with two recognitions from SC Media for her advocacy work.
She is also known as a speaker and writer, having presented at events such as DEF CON, RSA Conference, the Gartner Security Summit, CyberMarketingCon, and private industry conferences.
Cris Neckar, an ethical hacker and Partner at Two Bear Capital, commented on Leggio's new role.
"Jennifer has long been at the top of my list of leaders I wanted to work with. She brings the rare combination of brand clarity, operational excellence, and principled leadership. Her recognized ability to tie marketing, revenue, and business operations together is exactly what will help take QuSecure from first mover in post-quantum cryptography to established dominance. We're thrilled QuSecure appointed her to this role," said Cris Neckar.
QuSecure's key product, QuProtect, is described by the company as a cryptographic-agility platform that facilitates the transition from traditional cryptographic discovery to automated migration towards post-quantum cryptography. Its customer base includes entities such as the United States Army and Air Force, players from the telecommunications and energy sectors, financial institutions, and global cloud providers.
The company states it has the highest number of crypto-agility deployments globally, and positions its solutions as low-friction paths to identify and transition cryptographic communications towards quantum security across devices and organisations.
