Recast Software recognised with 12 G2 Winter 2026 badges

Wed, 7th Jan 2026

Recast Software has secured 12 badges in G2's Winter 2026 software rankings, marking a strong showing for the Minneapolis-based endpoint management specialist in customer reviews across several infrastructure categories.

The recognition spans areas such as enterprise configuration management, patch management and endpoint management. G2 compiles its seasonal reports using data from verified user reviews and market presence metrics.

Recast focuses on modern application and endpoint management for organisations that run Microsoft's management platforms, including Configuration Manager and Intune. Its flagship product, Right Click Tools, sits on top of these platforms and is in use across tens of millions of endpoints globally.

The company said the latest set of badges reflected high scores for customer satisfaction, usability and ease of doing business. G2's methodology uses a combination of review ratings, feature-level feedback and implementation data.

Customer-led ratings

The Winter 2026 badges include "Best Meets Requirements - Enterprise", "Easiest Setup - Enterprise", "Easiest to Do Business With", and "Easiest to Use - Enterprise". Recast also received multiple performance and recommendation badges, including "High Performer", "High Performer - Enterprise", "Leader", "Leader - Enterprise", "Momentum Leader", "Most Implementable - Enterprise", "Users Most Likely to Recommend", and "Users Most Likely to Recommend - Enterprise".

G2 positions itself as a software marketplace that ranks products based mainly on user feedback rather than analyst opinion. Vendors that feature strongly in its quarterly reports often use the results as signals of traction among practitioners.

Recast said that customers reported improvements in return on investment, daily operational workflows and security posture when using its tools. The company has built its business around IT departments that run large fleets of Windows endpoints and are seeking more automation on top of existing Microsoft deployments.

The firm stated that consistently positive reviews in configuration, patching and endpoint management reflected demand for tools that reduce manual effort and support security baselines at scale. It added that buyers value products that are fast to implement and straightforward for systems management teams to use.

Focus on Microsoft stack

Recast operates within the Microsoft ecosystem and extends products such as Intune and Configuration Manager. Its tools sit inside existing consoles and expose additional workflows, reporting and remediation functions for IT administrators.

The company said its software runs across more than 60 million endpoints. Customers span multiple industries and regions as organisations standardise on Microsoft for client management.

Recast executives said that product decisions draw heavily on direct feedback from operational IT teams. The company gathers input through customer advisory boards, support channels and usage analytics.

"These badges represent more than just a pat on the back-they reflect the trust and satisfaction of our active customer base," said Will Teevan, CEO, Recast. "Our company is dedicated to delivering solutions that not only meet today's IT challenges but also anticipate tomorrow's needs. We rely on the voice of the customer to inform our product strategy and ensure we continue to enable IT teams to get the most out of Microsoft ConfigMgr and Intune."

G2's "Most Implementable - Enterprise" and "Easiest Setup - Enterprise" badges focus on deployment experience and the time it takes customers to go live. "Users Most Likely to Recommend" reflects net promoter-style feedback about whether customers would suggest the product to peers.

"Leader" and "Leader - Enterprise" positions on G2's category grids combine satisfaction scores with indicators such as market reach and customer base size. "Momentum Leader" highlights vendors that show rapid growth in user interest and review volume compared with peers.

The recognition comes as many IT departments continue projects that consolidate endpoint tools and tighten patching and configuration processes. Organisations are also reviewing software portfolios in response to security guidance and rising compliance expectations.

Recast said it plans to continue developing extensions for Microsoft's management platforms and expanding automation around application delivery, remediation and optimisation. The company is also investing in features that increase visibility into endpoint health and configuration across large estates.
